Micro EFR Installation Instructions

  • 1

The first step when working with any firearm is to ensure that it is unloaded!

  • 2

Working from the bottom side of the stock, use a 5/32” Allen wrench to remove the two ¼-20 stainless crucifix rail mounting screws.

  • 3

Once crucifix rail is removed from gun, reinstall the front screw.

  • 4

While holding the fore-end of the stock with the top of the EFR slightly above the table surface, use a small, soft-face hammer and lightly tap the head of the front screw to loosen the grip of the Micro EFR to remove.

  • 5

Lay the stock flat on its side and place the barreled action above the stock to get an estimated location of where the Micro EFR is located on the barrel. Once location is determined, place the plastic protective sleeve over the barrel.

  • 6

With the barreled action laying bottom up and secured in a gun vise, slowly lower the stock while positioning the EFR and barreled action in the proper location. Install the Crucifix rail along with the two ¼-20 mounting screws. Do not tighten, leave loose.

  • 7

Tighten the action screws to proper torque.

  • 8

Once action is torqued, move back to the crucifix rail. Starting with front screw, which is closest to the tip, torque to 65 inch pounds. Move to rear screw and torque to 45 inch pounds.

  • 9

Once barreled action and Micro EFR are proper installed, remove the plastic protective sleeve from the barrel.

  • 10

Reverse procedure to remove barreled action. (NOTE: Install the plastic protective sleeve before you start to protect the barrel finish.)
